We are delighted to welcome Seedling Foundation to Partners for a New Economy.

Partners for a New Economy (P4NE) launched in 2015 as a groundbreaking international funding collaboration. Ten foundations have contributed funds to date, and in our first ten years, we have made $35 million of grants to more than 60 organisations across the globe. Our vision is an economy that serves people and nature, now and for future generations. We are a key entry point for funders exploring economic systems change.

Seedling Foundation joins our collaborative as a funding partner, alongside Oak, Marisla, KR, and Regenerative foundations. Seedling brings a deep commitment to partnership working, tackling the root causes of the environmental and climate crisis, and catalysing positive change.

Seedling’s director Patrizia Rezzoli said:

“Shaping our economy in a way that respects society and nature is the groundwork for a just and prosperous future. By joining P4NE, the Seedling Foundation can engage in strategic collaboration with other philanthropic institutions on this issue, enabling a more systemic and impactful approach to funding.”

P4NE’s Director Jo Swinson said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Seedling Foundation to Partners for a New Economy. Seedling’s focus on nurturing sustainable change—from regenerative agriculture to climate justice—aligns beautifully with our vision of building an economy that works for people and nature. We’re excited to learn from Seedling’s innovative work and to build on the momentum their partnership provides.”

Seedling Foundation was established at the end of 2021 on the initiative of an entrepreneurial family living in Switzerland. Since the sale of the company, the family members have been committed to various philanthropic activities. Seedling Foundation supports initiatives and organizations that develop and implement innovative solutions for climate protection. Their motivation stems from an understanding of the environmental and climate situation, coupled with their conviction that they want to use available resources and opportunities to bring about positive change.
