We are delighted to have awarded grants to three new grant partners — including a regrant to Movement Hub and NELA — to support our strategic goals, following P4NE’s most recent Board Meeting in May 2026. These organisations play a key role during this crucial time of just energy transition, spanning policy to grassroots level, to build a fairer economy within planetaryies.
S-Curve Economics
Focus: Policy Appraisal for Transformational Change
Award: 2-year grant of GBP 100,000 from 1 June 2026 – 30 May 2028
S-Curve Economics produces analysis to inform action on the low carbon transition, using economic tools suited to rapid innovation and structural change, and provides guidance. This project aims to establish Risk-Opportunity Analysis (ROA) as an approach to policy appraisal for transformational change. This work connects to P4NE’s goal to reimagine economic governance. By dealing appropriately with uncertainty, diverse interests and structural change, ROA could improve the evaluation of low carbon transition policies in areas such as energy, transport, housing, and industry. S-Curve’s international links, including the UK-China power group and global finance coalitions, offer routes for the approach to spread beyond the UK.
Focus: Building Community Power
Award: 2-year grant of EUR 180,000 from 1 June 2026 – 30 May 2028
Movement Hub builds scalable infrastructure to strengthen civic engagement among people beyond traditional progressive movements. By combining organising, legal tools, and strategic communications, they enable citizens to collectively enforce their rights and shape housing and energy policy.
NELA
Focus: New Economy Leaders Academy in collaboration with Common Purpose and The Human Edge
Award: GBP 188,289 from July 2026 – December 2027
NELA is a leadership and mentoring programme for the P4NE network, including grantees, former grantees, and other actors from the new economy field. It is part of our ongoing investment in the leadership capabilities of the field, with a focus on Leading Beyond Authority (LBA) and cross-organisational mentoring that builds trust-based relationships. This upcoming 4th cohort will welcome 30 participants, including 15 senior leaders and 15 emerging leaders globally.
