Finance Watch and Finanzwende

Finance Watch is a European non-governmental organisation that conducts research and advocacy on financial regulation; Finanzwende is a citizens’ movement association founded in 2018 that advocates reforms to the financial markets.
Their collaborative ‘Reset Finance’ initiative, aims to trigger an ambitious reset of the financial reform agenda to limit the extractive nature of financial markets and enable a positive transformation to a just and sustainable economy. They hope to do this by; establishing a civil society-driven Reset Finance agenda, analysing the social impacts of finance and developing policy proposals, raising the ambition of the EU work programme & preparing civil society to influence the new mandate and doing communication, advocacy, and implementation work.
