We make grants to support work that advances our vision: “Our economy redesigned for nature and all people to flourish”
How We Fund
Partners for a New Economy currently makes around 15 grants a year, with a significant proportion of these being renewals. Through an invitation-only application process, potential grantees only spend time on a grant application when there is a good chance of success. Whilst we do not accept unsolicited grant applications we are happy to connect if you are leading pioneering work that aligns with our guiding principles and works to realise our vision.

The initiatives we fund show a deep understanding of planetary boundaries and an urgency to transform our economy to live within them. They push the frontiers of alternative economic thinking and work to change the rules, goals and mindsets underpinning our current economic system. Our main geographic focus is Europe but we maintain a global outlook and are keen to see a breadth of perspective, embracing learning from the global south. We are developing clusters of grants in targeted locations beyond Europe, starting with Aotearoa New Zealand.
Explore our grantsOur Board meets four times a year to consider and approve grant requests. Beyond our normal funding cycle, we may develop new initiatives which can involve a public call for proposals, such as our Aotearoa New Zealand programme. These are publicised via our website, newsletter and Linkedin.
