P4NE has awarded our first three grants in our Aotearoa New Zealand programme. We developed this programme to support the following objectives:

  • Ensure that wellbeing budgets and policy in New Zealand fully incorporate nature.
  • Explore how economic systems change can be pursued with deep involvement of indigenous communities.
  • Inspire public debate, strengthening ways in which communities and people-power can shape national and local narratives, and influence policy in relation to the economy and the environment.

Our first three grants have been awarded to:

  • Project Moonshot, which seeks to connect regenerative economy actors in New Zealand via its Moonshot Map.
  • Wellbeing Economy Alliance Aotearoa who are building alliances on wellbeing policy ahead of the next election.
  • Ngāi Tahu Centre who are working on how to incorporate indigenous Māori knowledge in the government budget-setting process
